About Kasaka

Set in the Chiawa Game Management Area bordering the Lower Zambezi National Park is the Kasaka River Lodge. Kasaka offers a fantastic riverside location on the banks of the Zambezi River, directly across from the Mana Pools in Zimbabwe.

Hippo Pod family unit affords maximum privacy with stunning 270° views of the river. The tents are clustered on either side of main living and deck areas that are situated in the middle. Kasaka's outdoor, communal main and dining areas are at the heart of the camp and breathe that classic, nomad safari vibe. Set overlooking the beautiful Zambezi river, with the escarpment providing a dramatic backdrop, the view is truly stunning.

Activities at Kasaka River Lodge Kasaka is just four kilometers by road from the Lower Zambezi National Park. Game viewing or boat cruises. Kasaka it is all about relaxing. Fishing is also highly recommended, since the guides here are great fishermen. They love to assist you, or your children, catching an impressive Tiger Fish.

Lower Zambezi seasons

The Zambezi River becomes a gathering place for animals during the dry season, as they emerge from the high-temperature, bush areas. Best from April to November. If you are planning to catch big Tiger Fish: fishing peaks in September and October.

April to October - Dry season - The thick bush thins out and wildlife is easier to spot. Animals will gather around the river. Expect bright days and lots of sunshine.

November to March - Wet Season - A lush and green landscape. Spot some cute newborn animals. Birdwatching is at its best. The heat and humidity can be intense. Wildlife viewing can be more challenging. The flow of the Zambezi River is at its lowest.
